Infra Vertical

Infra division is not only a standalone arm of Skipper to take up public utility projects in Nigeria, but also support other divisions of Skipper from primary stage for total conceptualization of project/ facility and civil works.

As such, Infra division has Special Economic Zone Projects, Hydro Projects and large scale Solar Park grid connected projects.

We have in-house design and Engineering team along with reputed consultants like AFC, L&T, Sgurr Energy, DMR Hydro, to name a few.

We follow time tested Prime-Vera and MS Projects software for project planning and management as well as inculcate competency of project execution, monitoring and control through ISO philosophy of PDCA cycle.

Presently we have Katsina SEZ, Tiga and Challawa HEP and 2 GW Solar Park Projects in the portfolio of Infra Division.

T&D vertical

This is one of the core divisions having portfolio of manufacturing electrical product and construction of sub-station and Transmission as forward integration. In Nigeria, It began as first step in medium voltage 11 and 33kV projects of NIPP, which made significant contribution in electrifying urban and rural areas.

Thereafter, it headed for business opportunities in Extra High Voltage (EHV) Sub-station and Transmission lines.

Some of the prestigious and notable executed and commissioned 132kv Sub-stations are at Lafarge, Kaduna, etc...

Gas Power vertical

Power Generation division started its pursuing in 2009 with large size DG set supply and installation at NIGELEC, Niger. Looking at natural petroleum resources in Nigeria, Skipper expanded Gas Power division as full-fledged business arm to meet power requirement of Nigeria.

1x26 MW Gas fired power plant along with gas pipeline awarded to BHEL-Skipperseil consortium in 2017 has been completed.

This project consolidated our design and engineering capabilities in Gas Power Plant and Skipper gained confidence to venture into more opportunities impotent stake holders in Nigeria.

E&M packages in DORC under client consultant EIL, are being executed with work force of more than 3000 Skilled & unskilled. Project is presently under handing over stage.

We have manpower through 360 degree review of our capabilities with these projects and enabled in to make course correction and shoulder the responsibilities of bigger. Opportunities as well as challenges.

On such case in our joint venture project with Kaduna State for relocating 2x42MW Gas Power Plant from Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) to Kaduna and commenced its effective operation from March 2024. Then project requires meticulous planning and we are sure to come out in flying colours by executing it timely.

Metering & Storage Power Division (Nigeria & Africa)

Started local manufacturing of Energy meters and Metering units, which were supplied and installed at various sites throughout Nigeria. This concept was widely appreciated as it turned out to be a source for earning more revenue for PHCN. It has also helped PHCN to efficiently monitor consumption pattern and conduct Energy Auditing & Planning for the entire country.

Skipper Metering System consists of Smart meter, Communication modules, Data Concentrator Unit (DCU) Head End System, Meter Data Management System (MDMS) and Server.

Storage power Division manufactures system, integrating solar energy of PV Panels to supply electricity on 24x7 basis with the help of conventional battery system or Li-on battery. Such systems are off-grid in the form of Solar Home Light, Solar Street Light and Micro/Mini Solar System to bring light for people in dark zones without grid electricity supply. Today’s life style demands 24x7 uninterrupted power system from the utility grid, for which, Skipper Storage Power Division has designed and engineered systems with Hybrid Inverter and successfully installed in Public Health Centres (PHC), residential areas.

Key features of such systems are as under:-
